Grace Potter & The Nocturnals January 25th @ The Emerson

December 24, 2010

On January 20, 2011, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals will be coming to the Emerson Cultural Center.  Grace Potter & The Nocturnals is a Vermont-based band that blends funky blues, soul and rock from the 60s and early 70s.  Check out their recent self-titled studio album released on June 8, 2010.  GPN have were also chosen as VH1’s next “You Oughta Know,” Artist On The Rise.  They were also featured on the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS, December 22.  NPR also did a piece on her on World Cafe.  I have not yet bought the new album so I will follow up with a review ASAP.  Two summers ago I got the chance to see GPN at the Targhee Fest at Grand Targhee Resort.  It was a awesome show, high energy and funky.  They played an encore of Fleetwood Mac’s, “Gold Dust Woman” with Warren Hayes of Government Mule.  Tickets can be purchased at Cactus Records.  Don’t miss this show at the Emerson, you won’t regret it.
